Description
Decadent lather
Thrilled with this gorgeous soap choc full of goodies. 25% of it is a yummy intense cannabis infusion of extra virgin cold pressed oil, a further healthy dollop is wild Jelly Melon/indigenous African Horned cucumber pulp, 25% Shea butter, which is ultra-luxurious on skin. Jojoba oil, Spirulina, green oxide and coconut oil make up the balance.
Each soap is handcrafted and unique. They will never look exactly the same
The Jelly Melon contains a substance called saponin. Saponins are naturally occurring plant glycosides; which is to say they are phytochemicals – chemicals found in plants. The plant itself possesses soap-like qualities and produces a lather when mixed with water. You can wash your hands with plant. Imagine what happens to the lather when the plant is added to a handcrafted soap. Bubbles Galore!
Additives of kaolin clay and scented with the fragrance of melon, cucumber and essential oil of Spearmint are fresh and uplifting.
MYTHS, STORIES & INSPIRATION
Natural healing and medicinal plants have pretty much always been my go-to and I really have to be at deaths door before I’ll consider a pharmaceutical drug or visiting a doctor. Medicinal cannabis oil has kept me healthy and mended both nerve damage when a 4 X 4 left Firestone tracks over my backside as well as a full recovery after a close call with pneumococcal pneumonia.
I was never, ever going to use horrendously expensive medicinal oil in soap and I haven’t. Over the years I have understood that is the diverse and vastly differing terpene profile found in various plants, including cannabis (nothing to do with Sativa or Indica classification) that benefit different areas of the body and ailments. I got busy researching articles by renowned cannabis institutions on the terpene profile of the leaves of the various cannabis strains as opposed to the flower buds and they have the same, but less concentrated. Oil infusions of the leaves over many months have produced a dark rich oil, which is what I’ve used in my soap.
Soap being a wash off product, doesn’t linger long on skin and as such, have the same impact that a night cream would. There are those who say it makes no difference what you put in your soap. My findings as a result of years of use of natural soap with the rich ingredients I use, don’t concur with that theory. Marked improvement in skin and sure many others will agree.
