MYTHS, STORIES & INSPIRATION

I’ve always been entranced by semi-precious crystals formed deep within our earth and the magical mysteries woven into symbolism by humans for each type. For some reason, I have this urge to try and recreate them in soap, many times with poetic license when they don’t quite appear as I’d envisaged.

This soap was my first crystal attempt.

Amethyst, which is essentially a pale lilac to purple variation of quartz is found within volcanic rock and owes its violet color to irradiation, impurities of iron and in some cases other transition metals, along with the presence of other trace elements.

The grey mottled body of the soap is my interpretation of volcanic rock

Whilst visually, imo, the soap does not capture my finest moment, it is a beautiful soap to use.

I’ve discounted it for you to clear stock. The design will not be repeated.
