Description
Really awesome soap with a blended scent of essential oils that is heavenly.
The use of both Tussah silk and Kaolin clay is decadently sexy as it glides over your skin.
Shea butter adds a rich and luxurious feel to this soap. Now also imagine the feeling of silk on your skin. Your luxury bar of soap contains both, creating a glorious silky glide on your skin. Great lather.
Each soap is handcrafted and unique. They will never look exactly the same
I chose Tussah silk over Bombyx Mori, commonly known as the domesticated, farmed mulberry silk-worm moth. Tussah is wild harvested mostly in India, and whilst no certificate was provided, my source is harvested after the moth has naturally vacated her cocoon and gone on to mate. In the mulberry silk industry, the entire cocoon with larvae/pupae inside are boiled. In my eyes, there is no justification for latter.
Wild harvested Himalayan Rhubarb is a natural colourant, but it does blur a little, so tinges of the rhubarb colour do morph into the white.
MYTHS, STORIES & INSPIRATION
Auntie Clara is a world renowned soaper extraordinaire, who inspired me to begin my soap journey and to whom I will always be grateful.
There was one particular black and white soap of hers that I adored and couldn’t get enough of. I had to recreate it with my own spin and interpretation without being a total copycat. Himalayan Rose Soap was born. The Himalayan bit comes in as I used wild Himalayan rhubarb root as a natural colourant…..the deep rhubarb pink is it!
